Who We Are.
Here at St. Michaels we are proud of being a multi-national, multi-cultural, all-age Christian community. Our ages and backgrounds are as diverse as our unity in faith is precious to who we are and what we do, and we are always pleased to meet new people, either during the week, in the evening or at Sunday Services.
What We Believe.
We believe that a personal relationship with God through Christ is at the heart of who we are, and that we are dependent on His Spirit and prayer in order to enjoy that relationship to the full. We believe that the Bible is God’s living and active Word and see it as central to all we do as a Church. On the basis of its teaching we believe that to judge other people is wrong, but to welcome and care for them is essential. We believe that none of us are perfect and we all need to know the relief of forgiveness. We believe in prayer, in service, in compassion, in God’s love, and that faith in Christ is a gift to be lived and not a burden to be borne. We believe that God speaks clearly but quietly through the Bible, through prayer and through the relationships we build within the Church; but that we do not have all the answers. We believe in seeking truth, living in love, trusting in Christ and serving our neighbours.
What We Do.
Our team of volunteers keep the Church open from 10am to 2pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays, we meet for prayer on a Wednesday evening at 6.30 and every Sunday morning at 10.00 to worship together. Children are welcome and we have activities for different ages.
